Take a trip on your own around Fredericia in the sea kayak and experience the most beautiful sailing surroundings in Denmark. Kayaking is the perfect way to get moving and at the same time have a very special outdoor experience in the spirit of water sports.
Choose where the trip goes and how long you want to sail. It will be obvious to take a trip in Fredericia's Canals and, if the weather permits, you can take a trip to Sandal and get an ice cream. Pay attention to current, wind conditions and water temperature as this has a great influence on your safety. You are always welcome to take Contact if you are in doubt.
When you rent a kayak there will always be one swimming vest and paddle with. If it is a sea kayak, one will also follow spray deck with.
It is possible to borrow a kayak cart, which can carry two kayaks.

Clothes:
Clothes for the weather, swimwear to wear under the wetsuit if necessary. ski underwear if you need to be absolutely sure of being able to keep warm. If the weather is good, you can also row in swimwear.

You don't have to think about bringing any equipment, all the above equipment will be provided to you. If you yourself have any of the below, please feel free to bring this with you. All our equipment is CE approved and almost brand new. We have something that fits almost everyone, you are very welcome to write in the comment field which size you use s, m, l, xl, 2xl.

Fredericia's canal to Sandalhavn
The trip from Fredericia canal to Sandal Harbor is a beautiful 2-3 hour kayak trip. There is an opportunity to take a break in Sandal Havn, where you can jump out of the kayak and get an ice cream. You must be able to swim, and it is important to have a basic knowledge of the kayak, so that you can get into the kayak yourself in the event that you fall in.

The trip from Kanalbyen to Trelde Næs is good for full-day trips with the option of staying overnight in a shelter. If you choose to sail around Shell, you must be aware of the current. It can be very strong and move in several directions (see map).

What is good to bring on a kayak trip?
Bring:
– Comfortable clothes to wear under the dry suit as well as flip flops or a pair of old sports shoes that can get wet (preferably a size or two bigger than you usually).
When you have put on the dry suit, you must wear shoes or flip flops so that you do not make a hole in the suit.
– Swimwear to wear under a wetsuit
– Snacks and water
– Glasses/sunglasses with string

How does the rental take place?
Course of action:
- Unlock the white shed, change clothes, take the equipment you need.
- Unlock the kayak, put the lock in the shed. Lock the shed.
- Take the kayak to the loading point, which is 50 m further down the canal.
- Enjoy the ride.
When you are finished:
- Relock the kayak within the rental period.
- Rinse suits and equipment at the water hose located by the small gardens.
- Check that all the equipment is neatly put away and the locks are locked so that everything is ready for the next rental.
*Make sure to get ashore in good time, so that you can lock the padlock to the kayak within the rented time.
How do I get a kayak, equipment and clothing?
The kayak is on a stand. To get it free, you must use the code you have been sent. Once you have unlocked the kayak, put the lock into the shed. Remember to lock the shed again when you go on the water. You are welcome to leave the items that you do not want to take with you on the water in the shed.
Equipment:
In the shed you will find a paddle, life jacket, *spray deck, *pump and *paddlefloat.

Where and how does changing take place?
You are welcome to change inside the shed. When you are finished, you can take a rinse with the water hose, if necessary. along with the equipment you have used, so it is clean for the next ones to come.
How do the padlock and codes work?
Codes:
The code for the kayak is active during the period in which you have rented the kayak.
The code for the shed is active for 60 minutes before and 60 minutes after the rented time.
That way, you have plenty of time to change.
Remember to lock the kayak and all the equipment inside the white shed.
